The Autonomous Vehicles (AV) Safety Dashboard allows users to visualize all the reported crash incidents from 2014-2025 and all reported mileage data from 2019-2024 for autonomous vehicles with AV Testing and AV Driverless Testing Permits from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) during that time.
Data Sources & Updates
AV Crash Data: The data for the AV Crash Dashboard includes all reported crashes for autonomous vehicles with DMV-administered AV Testing and AV Driverless Testing Permits from October 2014 through August 26, 2025.
AV Mileage Data: The data for the AV Mileage Dashboard summarizes all mileage reports for autonomous vehicles with DMV-administered AV Testing and AV Driverless Testing Permits from December 2018 to November 2024.
